We know that without a committed workforce there's always going to be a limit to what we can achieve, that's why we've worked hard to involve our staff and inspire them with the same passion that we feel about SPM. As well as sustaining a successful business we also ensure that our employees have a voice in how we develop, and pride in creating a sustainable future.
Through Vision in Print workshops and BPIF training courses we are constantly improving communication and increasing empowerment - the essential ingredients for positive growth and sustainability.
Staff Retention
At SPM we have a high retention rate for all of our staff. During the pre-employment phase we take time to explain the nature of our work and the roles and responsibilities expected of the candidate, this is supported by our employment policies that are set out in the Employee Handbook.
As at August 2008, of our 23 members of staff the average time worked at SPM is 6.7 years with 14 staff being at the company for 5 years or more and 8 for 10 years or more.
Once employment has commenced, new members of the company are introduced to the 'family' approach by working as part of a team under the guidance of an experienced manager. We then continually invest heavily in training and providing opportunities for internal advancement and promotion.
